METACOGNITION - higher order thinking that enables understanding, analysis, and control of one's cognitive process, especially when engaged in learning.

CONTEXT - the circumstances that form the setting for an event, statement, or idea, and in terms of which it can be fully understood and assessed. SITUATIONAL

THEORY - an idea that is suggested or presented as possibly true but that is not known or proven to be true

OBJECTIVE - based on facts rather than feelings or opinions: not influenced by feelings

SUBJECTIVE - based on feelings or opinions rather than facts

PEDAGOGY - the art, science, or profession of teaching.

RHETORIC - the art or skill of speaking or writing formally and effectively especially as a way to persuade or influence people

SOCIOECONOMIC - of or related to social and economic factors (refer to notes)

SOCIOCULTURAL - of or related to social and cultural factors (refer to notes)

FEMINIST THEORY - aims to understand the nature of gender inequality
